Surin Beach
Surin Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Phuket for a relaxing holiday. It is located on the west coast, north of Kamala Beach . The beach line is about 1 km long. Until 2016, popular beach clubs were located right on the beach, but then they were demolished and now the entire beach belongs to vacationers. Surin is famous for its crystal clear water and pleasant uniform sand. In the northern and southern parts of the beach you will find huge boulders, near which you can snorkel perfectly or take bright photos.
Who is it suitable for:
This beach is suitable for a quiet family holiday. Surin has a sufficient choice of hotels and condominiums to suit all tastes and budgets.
Infrastructure:
This area has a fairly developed infrastructure. Until 2021, there were no sun loungers on the beach, but after the island opened for tourists, locals put out so many of them that they completely filled the beach. In 2023, an inspection was launched at the time of their legal installation and now they can only be found in the southern and northern parts. And in the center, everyone can enjoy the pristine nature and lie down on their towel or mat. Not far from the shore, you can see makashnitsy and beach cafes that offer various street food. Throughout the area you will find shops, cafes and restaurants, massage parlors, currency exchange offices and bank branches. Nightlife in Surin is not developed and it is better to go to Patong for it, which is why this area is one of the quietest in Phuket.
Holidays in the summer season:
In the summer season, swimming on this beach is almost impossible due to waves and rip currents. Lifeguards set up flags to demarcate zones. Red flags indicate that entering the sea is prohibited. Red and yellow flags are placed in swimming zones – lifeguards are on duty there.
