Important information

Overnight stays on the Surin Islands take place within a national park, so do not expect typical hotel comforts. The primary accommodation option for tourists is tents. There are also bungalows on the islands, but they must be booked in advance, as availability is limited.

Accommodation in tents is quite basic, and given the hot and humid climate, it may be unusual for those used to hotel vacations. If you choose this travel format, we recommend preparing for camping in advance.

Be sure to bring insect repellent and necessary personal items for a comfortable stay on the islands.

Additional accommodation terms

If desired, you can choose a more comfortable accommodation option for an additional fee:

• Bungalow — 2,000 THB for accommodation up to 2 people or 3,000 THB for a bungalow up to 4 people.
• Portable air conditioner for tent — 2,000 THB per tent, maximum for 2 people.

The number of bungalows is limited, so their availability must be checked at the time of booking.

Special tour cancellation policy: Once the tent or bungalow booking is confirmed, changing the date or canceling this tour is not possible; the cancellation fee will be up to 100%, even with a medical certificate.

Transfer to the Surin Islands as part of this program is by speedboat.

The excursion to the Surin Islands with an overnight stay is a great option for those who don't want to limit themselves to a single-day trip, but rather spend a full evening and night in the national park. Over a few days, you can dedicate more time to snorkeling, relaxing on the beach, and getting to know the nature of the Surin Archipelago.

The trip begins with a transfer from your hotel in Khao Lak to the pier. Before departure, guests enjoy a small breakfast and a briefing in English, after which the sea portion of the journey to the Surin Islands begins.

Then the group sets off by speedboat to the Surin Islands.

Snorkeling and meeting the Moken village

Visiting the Moken village allows you to see the Surin Islands from another perspective — not just as a place for beach relaxation and snorkeling, but as a home for a community whose life is closely tied to the sea and the traditions of the archipelago.

After meeting the village, lunch is provided, followed by check-in to your selected accommodation, which is specified when booking the excursion.

The simplest and most affordable accommodation option on the Surin Islands is a night in a tent. If desired, for an additional fee, it can be equipped with a portable air conditioner, though even then, conditions remain quite modest.

The toilet and shower are shared; they are located not far from the tent camp.

Bungalows with fans and air conditioning are considered a more comfortable accommodation option. However, conditions here also remain quite simple and do not imply the usual hotel level of comfort. Bungalows are in limited demand, so they must be booked in advance.

Beach relaxation and sunset in Krating Bay

After check-in, you can relax on the beach, go swimming, walk along the shore, or simply enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the islands and the surrounding nature.

In the evening, the program continues with a walk to Krating Bay, where you can watch the sunset and admire the beautiful views of the Surin Islands. After the walk, everyone returns to the tent camp for dinner.

After dinner, you can enjoy the sunsets while sitting on the shore and watching nature.

Day two — snorkeling in the bays of the Surin Islands

After a Thai-style breakfast, the program continues with a sea excursion.

Day three — additional snorkeling bays

The third day is dedicated to more snorkeling. After breakfast, the group heads to Bon Bay or Mae Yai Bay, and after lunch, the route continues to Pineapple Bay or Turtle Bay, where another snorkeling stop is planned.

Once the sea program concludes, the journey back from the Surin Islands to the pier begins, where guests will enjoy a light snack and a transfer back to their hotel.
