Important information

Overnight stays on the Surin Islands take place within a national park, so do not expect typical hotel comforts. The main accommodation option for tourists is tents. There are also bungalows on the islands, but they must be booked in advance, as availability is limited.

Accommodation in tents is quite basic, and given the hot and humid climate, it may be unusual for those accustomed to hotel stays. If you choose this travel format, we recommend preparing for an overnight stay in nature in advance.

Be sure to bring insect repellent and any necessary personal items for a comfortable stay on the islands.

Additional accommodation terms

If desired, you can choose a more comfortable accommodation option for an additional fee:

• Bungalow — 2,000 THB for accommodation up to 2 people or 3,000 THB for a bungalow for up to 4 people.
• Portable air conditioner for the tent — 2,000 THB per tent, maximum for 2 people.

The number of bungalows is limited, so availability must be confirmed at the time of booking.

Special tour cancellation policy: Once the tent or bungalow booking is confirmed, changing the date or canceling this tour is not possible; the cancellation fee will be up to 100%, even with a medical certificate.

Transfer to the Surin Islands as part of this program is provided by speedboat.

The trip begins with a transfer from your hotel in Khao Lak to the pier, where a mini-breakfast and an English briefing are provided before departure.

Then the group heads to the Surin Islands by speedboat.

Snorkeling and meeting the Moken village

The first stop is Chong Khat Channel, where snorkeling takes place from the speedboat.

After this, the program continues with a visit to the Moken village — sea gypsies who traditionally live on the Surin Islands.

Visiting the village allows you to get acquainted with the local way of life and see the islands from a different perspective — not only as a place for beach holidays and snorkeling, but as a home for a community closely connected to the sea.

After the village tour, lunch is served, followed by check-in at the accommodation booked.

The most affordable overnight option on the Surin Islands is tent accommodation. For an additional fee, a portable air conditioner can be installed in the tent; however, even with it, conditions remain quite basic.

The toilet and shower are shared and located a few meters from the camping area.

A more comfortable option is a bungalow equipped with a fan and air conditioning. However, do not expect typical hotel luxury: the bungalows are also quite modest. They must be booked in advance as availability is limited.

Beach relaxation and sunset in Krating Bay

After check-in, you can spend time relaxing on the beach: swim, walk along the coast, or simply unwind surrounded by the nature of the Surin Islands.

In the evening, there is a walk to Krating Bay, where you can enjoy the sunset.

After returning, you will have dinner and free time on the islands.

Day two — snorkeling in the Surin Islands bays

After a Thai-style breakfast, the program continues with a boat trip.

Snorkeling is scheduled at Bon Bay or Mae Yai Bay, where you can swim and explore the archipelago's underwater world.

After lunch, the group heads to the next point of the route — Pineapple Bay or Turtle Bay. A snorkeling stop is also planned here.

Day three — additional bays for snorkeling

After breakfast on the third day, the group heads out for snorkeling at Bon Bay or Mae Yai Bay. After lunch, the program continues at Pineapple Bay or Turtle Bay.

Once the sea program is complete, you will head back from the Surin Islands to the pier, where a light snack and a transfer back to the hotel await guests.
