Excursion to the Surin Islands from Khao Lak by speed catamaran
An excursion to the Surin Islands from Khao Lak by speed catamaran is an excellent way to spend a day amidst tropical nature, clear sea, and colorful coral reefs. The program includes several snorkeling stops, a visit to the Moken sea gypsy village, lunch at the national park, and time to explore the underwater world of the Surin Islands.
In the morning, tourists are picked up from hotels in Khao Lak and taken to the private pier of Namkhem Marina. Before departure, registration takes place, guests are given snorkeling equipment, and hot drinks and light pastries are offered.

After this, the sea part of the journey begins - the group heads to the Surin Islands on a speed catamaran.

Surin Islands and first snorkeling
Approximately an hour and a half after departure, the catamaran arrives at the Surin Islands, whose territory is part of the national marine park.
The first stop will be Chong Kad Bay. This is a picturesque bay with clear water, suitable for snorkeling. Here you can swim among corals and observe tropical fish.
After snorkeling, the program will continue on land - tourists will go to the Moken sea gypsy village.
The Mokens are traditionally associated with the sea and the islands of the Andaman coast. Visiting the village allows you to get acquainted with their way of life and see a completely different side of the Surin Islands, which is not only about beaches and sea landscapes.

Thai lunch on the islands
After morning activities, it's time for lunch. At the national park restaurant, guests can enjoy a buffet with Thai dishes and seasonal fruits.
After lunch, you can relax and recharge before continuing the boat trip.

Second snorkeling — Bon Bay or Mae Yai Bay
The next stop depends on weather conditions and sea state. Snorkeling takes place in the area of Bon Bay or Mae Yai Bay.
The clear water allows you to see coral reefs and numerous marine inhabitants. This is the second opportunity of the day to snorkel in different areas of the national park.
All necessary equipment is provided before the start of the excursion, so bringing your own mask and fins is not mandatory.

Pineapple Bay or Turtle Bay
The third snorkeling stop will be in the area of Pineapple Bay or Turtle Bay.
Here you can once again go into the water and continue exploring the underwater world of the Surin Islands. Depending on the chosen bay, tourists will be able to see corals and colorful tropical fish.
Three snorkeling stops in different locations allow you to not just spend time on one reef, but to see several sections of the coastal waters of the national park.
After the third snorkeling, the catamaran will head back to the mainland.

Return to Khao Lak
Around 3:30 PM, the group leaves the Surin Islands and heads back on the speed catamaran.
Approximately at 5:00 PM, tourists return to the private SeaStar pier at Namkhem Marina. Before the trip back to the hotel, guests will enjoy a small evening snack - papaya salad, fried chicken, noodles, and ice cream.
After this, transfer back to the hotel in Khao Lak is arranged.
