Khao Lak Tour from Phuket – Elephants, Bamboo Rafting, Waterfall, and Wildlife Rescue Center

The Khao Lak tour is one of the best family programs from Phuket, allowing you to experience the amazing nature of mainland Thailand in just one day, see tropical jungles, interact with elephants, visit the unique Wildlife Rescue Center, and enjoy a peaceful bamboo rafting trip. The route passes through Phang Nga province – one of the most picturesque regions of the country, known for its dense forests, waterfalls, rivers, and national parks.

This excursion is ideal for both adults and families with children due to its short transfers, rich program, and numerous natural attractions.

The Journey Begins at Sarasin Bridge

After departing from Phuket, the group crosses the Sarasin Bridge, connecting the island with the mainland of Thailand. A photo stop is provided here, weather permitting. This is a significant spot offering beautiful views of the sea and the strait separating Phuket island from the mainland.

Wildlife Rescue Center

One of the new and most interesting stops on the program is the state Wildlife Rescue Center. This is where animals injured in the wild, by poaching, or in accidents are brought. Here they are treated, nursed back to health, and, if possible, returned to their natural habitat.

Animals with severe injuries that can no longer survive on their own in nature remain here under the constant care of specialists. Visiting the center provides an opportunity to learn more about the work of Thai conservation organizations and see the great attention given to wildlife preservation in the country.

Suwan Kuha Temple – Reclining Buddha Cave

The next stop is the famous Suwan Kuha Temple, known to many tourists as the Monkey Temple. It is located inside a huge limestone cave, housing an impressive statue of the Reclining Buddha.

Wild macaques live at the entrance to the temple and can be observed in their natural environment. This is one of Phang Nga province's most famous attractions, combining natural beauty and Thailand's rich cultural heritage.

Bamboo Rafting

After visiting the temple, a peaceful bamboo rafting trip begins on a river flowing through dense tropical jungles. The route passes through picturesque natural areas where you can enjoy the tranquility, fresh air, and exotic vegetation.

This type of rafting does not require special training and is suitable for almost all tourists, including families with young children.

Meeting the Elephants

One of the most anticipated parts of the excursion is a visit to the elephant village. Here, guests can take an elephant ride through the jungle and bathe with an elephant in a small pool.

Program participants will also enjoy a small elephant calf show and the opportunity to take memorable photos with these amazing animals.
