Nai Harn Beach
Nai Harn Beach is one of the most popular wintering beaches in Phuket. It is located on the west coast, in the very south of the island. In the winter season, there is a gentle entrance to the sea and a small backwater, which is popular with vacationers with children. The infrastructure near the beach is practically not developed - there are a couple of restaurants, sometimes makashnitsy come. But if you go further away - there are no problems with the infrastructure. Since many vacationers from all over the world choose this area for a long vacation or wintering, the infrastructure is developing in line with the growing needs of people. The length of Nai Harn Beach is about 1 kilometer. Ebb and flow do not affect the quality of beach recreation. In the southern part of the beach there are huge boulders that are great for photo shoots. You can also snorkel near them. Nai Harn does not have such a wide choice of hotels, but there are many condominiums and villas a few minutes' drive from the beach. This area is currently being actively built up and developed.
Who is it suitable for:
Thanks to its natural beauty and atmosphere, it is suitable for both a quiet family holiday and for young people. But for activities and large shopping centers, you will have to go to other areas. Nai Harn Beach is not suitable for those who want a developed nightlife within walking distance.
Infrastructure:
On the beach itself, you can rent sun loungers with umbrellas. Near the beach line, you can find several cafes. There are no large shopping centers or markets in the Nai Harn area. There is a small parking lot near the beach. There may be problems with parking cars in the high season due to the high traffic on the beach. There is a small lake near the beach, around which you can walk or jog. Also next to it is a small fitness park with free exercise machines and a playground. Since this area is actively being built up and populated by expats, you can find several shops with imported products (including Russian ones) here. For winterers from Russian-speaking countries, there are several kindergartens with instruction in Russian and English.
Holidays in the summer season:
From May to mid-October, beach holidays on Nai Harn Beach are almost impossible due to large waves and rip currents. This is one of the most dangerous beaches on the island, so we do not recommend swimming here in the summer. On stormy days, lifeguards put up red flags on the shore, which means that swimming is strictly prohibited.
