Kata Noi Beach is one of the most picturesque beaches in Phuket. It is located on the west coast, south of its "big brother" Kata. The entrance here is not as gentle as on Kata Beach and the infrastructure is not as developed. But many choose it because of its natural beauty and more turquoise sea in season. The length of Kata Noi Beach is about 600 meters. The ebb and flow of the tide do not affect the quality of the beach holiday. In the southern and northern parts of the beach there are huge boulders that are great for photo shoots. You can also dive with a mask and snorkel near them, snorkeling here is much more interesting than on Kata Beach . Kata Noi does not have such a wide choice of hotels, there are no condominiums and villas near the beach. But there are good 5-star hotels - Katathani Phuket Beach Resort (great for families with children) and Shore at Katathani (for adults).
Who is it suitable for:
Thanks to its cozy atmosphere, it is suitable for both a quiet family vacation and for youth. But for activities and a variety of cafes/shops, you will have to go to other areas. Kata Noi Beach is not suitable for those who need a developed nightlife within walking distance.
Infrastructure:
On the beach itself you can rent sun loungers with umbrellas, there is a beach cafe with a bar. Near the beach line you can find a small number of shops and cafes/restaurants, there are massage parlors and currency exchange offices. There are no large shopping centers or markets in the Kata Noi area. Sometimes on the way to the beach you can see a couple of makashnits, but nothing more.
Holidays in the summer season:
From May to mid-October, beach holidays on Kata Noi Beach are practically impossible due to large waves and rip currents. During stormy days, lifeguards put up red flags on the shore, which means that swimming is strictly prohibited.
